  • Instructional Model: American School Design Build
    2023 to Present

    Integrated ARCH 4956/4056 (Design IX/X: Options Studios) and a Construction Science seminar. Extended daily contact hours (9:00 am–5:00 pm, M/W/F) provide immersive, coordinated studio + technical instruction. Emphasis on collaboration, hands-on construction and prototyping, professional project and site management workflows.

    2022 to Present

    Upper undergraduate design-build studios focused on complex design problems, integrating conceptual rigor, site engagement, client dialogue, and material/fabrication strategies. Students work through iterative design processes, interdisciplinary coordination, and prototyping leading toward resilient, community-based projects.

    Established and lead the Gibbs Collective Creating Seminar, a cross-disciplinary initiative uniting students and faculty across the Gibbs College of Architecture in collaborative research-through-making. Developed a curriculum centered on experimental fabrication, design-build methodologies, industrial design, and public engagement as vehicles for creative scholarship. The seminar operates as a platform where students prototype, fabricate, and exhibit work addressing material innovation, social agency, technology, and creative impact. The seminar is both a pedagogical laboratory and a model for engaged, research-driven design education.

    Led integration of a semester-long non-human-centric architecture initiative. Guided entomological and equestrian studios that cultivated empathy for biodiversity and introduced alternative scales of building. The initiative culminated in the exhibition “Tectonic Entomological Investigations”.
